RELEASE: Sen. Elizabeth Warren Backs Padilla in 2022 Election

SENATOR ELIZABETH WARREN ENDORSES SENATOR ALEX PADILLA IN 2022 CAMPAIGN FOR U.S. SENATE

LOS ANGELES, CA – Today, Senator Elizabeth Warren announced her endorsement of Senator Alex Padilla’s campaign for the United States Senate in 2022. Senator Warren co-sponsored Senator Padilla’s first bill, the Citizenship for Essential Workers Act, which would create a pathway to citizenship for over five million undocumented frontline workers.

Senator Warren joins a long list of prominent endorsers including California Governor Gavin NewsomLt. Governor Eleni KounalakisSecretary of State Shirley Weber, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and nearly all members of California Democratic Congressional Delegation.

Sen. Padilla was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to fill the Senate seat vacated by Vice President Kamala Harris for the remainder of her team. He is up for reelection in 2022.
