Proposition 18

If approved, Prop 18 would amend the California Constitution to allow

17-year-olds to register and vote in primary elections if they will turn 18 in time for the

general election. 18 states and the District of Columbia already empower young voters

to do the same. Studies show that engaging young voters as soon as they turn 18

increases the likelihood that they will be more regular voters over time.
